Colts Section

Here at Boxted Cricket Club we aim to promote cricket at all levels within the local community and within the sport providing opportunities for recreation, coaching and competition.

Cricket is our national summer sport and is already enjoyed by millions of people throughout England and Wales, across all ages and from a hugely diverse range of backgrounds. Boxted Cricket Club is delighted to welcome membership enquiries from all sectors of the community.

We firmly believe that cricket should be played with dignity and within the spirit of the long standing traditions of the game. To this end we ask all those associated with the Club to conduct themselves in an appropriate manner at all times. The Club has produced a series of acceptable codes of conduct which clearly set out our standards in this regard. Details of these codes of conduct appear on the following pages.

We also recognise the extra vulnerability of our younger members and consequently are very pleased, As a Club to fully adopt and endorse the ECB policy “Safe Hands – Welfare of Young People in Cricket.” In addition to this the Club is working towards the ECB/Sport England accreditation award “Clubmark” which recognises cricket clubs as safe, effectively managed and child friendly,

Full details of our junior membership requirements also appear on the following pages. Further information can be obtained from the Club Welfare Officer upon request.
